About the MIT:

As the season starter, the Miami International Triathlon (or simply MIT) takes place in the cool & sunny spring of the City of Miami, Florida. Besides the favorable weather & beautiful and unique course views mixed with the City's diverse Latin culture influence, the MIT is a "must-go" destination event for both professional and amateur level athletes.

 

In 2008, the MIT had nearly 1,000 athletes representing over 20 different nationalities & over 30 professional triathletes. In 2009, the event sold out with 1,500 athletes from 24 different countries and an even stronger professional presence.

 

Here are some of the event highlights:

 

2010 Age Group National Championship Qualifier - Top 10% of each category (18 and older);

 

2010 MIT will be limited to the first 1,500 athletes! More than 5,000 people are expected to attend between participants & spectators;

 

 

Olympic distance triathlon:

1.5 Km Swim, 40 Km Bike & 10 Km Run

 

Prior to and during the race day, event EXPO is held at race site, giving the opportunity for all sponsors to exhibit, promote and sell it’s products and services;

 

Complete photo coverage of the event;

 

Assortment of authentic Latin-tropical delicious food and refreshments specially made for the athletes and guests;

 

Special PRO-ATHLETE meeting held at the expo (Saturday, 03/13 @ 1:00pm);

 

Water/Aid stations throughout specific points on the course;

 

Official high quality "tech" shirt for every participant;

 

Official full color event guide featuring event details and more useful information;

 

"Goodie" Bags given for every participant with special sponsor items;

 

Music entertainment during the whole event;

INDIVIDUAL:

Early registration: $135.00 + active.com online fee until Nov 30 2009.

After that, $145.00 + active.com online fee

 

TEAM RELAY:

Early registration: $170.00 + active.com online fee until Nov 30 2009.
