About the MIT:

As the season starter, the Profile Design Miami International Triathlon (or simply Profile Design MIT) takes place in the cool & sunny spring of the City of Miami, Florida. Besides the favorable weather, beautiful and unique course views mixed with the City's diverse Latin culture influence make the MIT is a "must-go" destination event for both professional and amateur level athletes.

 

In 2008, the MIT had athletes representing over 20 different nationalities. Over 30 professional triathletes attended. As the triathlon sport continues to grow, so does the Profile Design MIT. Here are some of the 2009 event highlights:

 

09 Age Group National Championship Qualifier - Top 10% of each category (18 and older);

 

Profile Design MIT is on its way to becoming one of the largest triathlons in Florida, with 1,500 projected athletes and more than 3,000 participants;

 

Olympic distance triathlon:

1.5 Km Swim, 40 Km Bike & 10 Km Run

 

Prior to and during the race day, event EXPO is held at race site, giving the opportunity for all sponsors to exhibit, promote and sell it’s products and services;

 

Official "Profile Design MIT welcome PASTA dinner" taking place the night before the race;

 

Complete photo coverage of the event;

 

Assortment of authentic Latin-tropical delicious food and refreshments specially made for the athletes and guests;

 

Special PRO-ATHLETE meeting held at the expo (Saturday, 03/14 @ 2:00pm);

 

Water/Aid stations throughout specific points on the course;
